Navigating the Future
Navigating the future means taking responsibility for the course ahead. For us, sustainability is not an obligation but an opportunity for growth and a new business model: a concrete commitment based on ethical and transparent governance to create long-term value for people and the environment.
Environmental Action
Our environmental efforts focus mainly on decarbonization through the reduction of ship emissions and the promotion of sea-rail intermodality as a sustainable alternative to road transport. We invest in energy efficiency and closely follow developments in biofuels and other technological innovations. Our goal is to actively contribute to the ecological transition of the logistics and maritime sector, operating within a certified management system (UNI EN ISO 14001:2015).
Social Responsibility
Caring for people is our most significant value. We guarantee equal opportunities in an inclusive workplace that respects human rights, is safe, and certified.
We invest in the training and well-being of our employees and support the communities where we operate, with a strong sense of social responsibility.
Governance
Our governance is built on a solid Code of Ethics, compliance with anti-corruption laws (Legislative Decree 231/2001, ISO 37001), and supervision by a Vigilance Body. We have an ESG Committee and a company function dedicated to ESG Sustainability, which works in coordination with all company functions to integrate environmental, social, and governance principles into our business strategies. The family majority ensures an independent strategic vision focused on transparency and fair management.
Sustainability Report
Our journey toward sustainability is constantly evolving. We have embarked on structured reporting, producing our report according to recognised standards (previously GRI, now ESRS) to measure and improve our performance. This document is a strategic tool for dialogue with our stakeholders and the foundation for a sustainability plan with clear, measurable goals. On this page, we share the strategies and concrete actions demonstrating our commitment, awaiting the publication of the full report.
Anti-Corruption Guidelines
A safe course requires steady guidance. The (Opens in a new tab) Messina family firmly anchors our governance in its long-term vision, holding the majority to guarantee the Group’s strategic independence. This translates into a system of clear rules, based on our Code of Ethics and full compliance with corporate responsibility regulations (Legislative Decree 231/2001) and international anti-corruption standards. An autonomous Vigilance Body continuously monitors the correct application of these principles, ensuring honest and transparent management.
