Messina Multimodal designs and manages end-to-end transport solutions by directly controlling a network of intermodal terminals in Northern Italy. We integrate “road and rail” to achieve a continuous, optimised flow. We handle containers, swap bodies, cars, commercial vehicles, and project cargo, and can clear customs directly at the destination thanks to our AEO certifications.
Our focus on rail is a strategic choice for efficiency and sustainability, but our actual value lies in our human approach. We offer flexibility and direct contact to build tailor-made solutions, turning a transport chain into a trusted partnership.

A key strength of Messina Multimodal is our ownership of the logistics chain, ensuring direct control over the entire infrastructure. This delivers significant advantages: greater efficiency, cost control, reliable “end-to-end” service quality, and the flexibility to develop advanced solutions for Project Cargo and diversified offerings.
3 Intermodal Hubs
Messina Multimodal manages three strategic hubs in Central-Northern Italy (Milan Segrate, Vicenza, and Dinazzano), connected daily by rail to the Messina Terminal in Genoa. These hubs optimise costs and efficiency while handling diversified and special cargo. The Segrate terminal, in particular, allows customs clearance in Milan, significantly reducing lead times for third-party clients and offering total control.
Tech & Green
Messina Multimodal combines advanced technology with a commitment to sustainability. We use state-of-the-art IT systems for operations and were among the first to develop dedicated rail services for our own traffic. This has shifted a substantial portion of container transport to rail, significantly reducing emissions. Furthermore, 24/7 terminal operations maximise efficiency and minimise environmental impact.
